Gifts to the Companions support the efforts of the Franciscan Mission Association (FMA), which in turn funds special projects of the Franciscan Friars Conventual around the world. Missions continue the work of St. Francis of Assisi in caring for our brothers and sisters most in need. Today, thanks to the FMA, friars can work and minister in more than 60 countries.

The FMA funds vital projects in developing regions including constructing hospitals and clinics, establishing daycares and schools, digging water wells, founding religious education and faith formation programs, and building churches and seminaries.
