A Mirror of Christ

Homily on Wednesday, August 11th 2021

This homily was given by Fr. Richard on the feast of St Clare of Assisi. Clare found her life in contemplation and poverty. She was called to be so close to Jesus that she can became poor so that she can live a life of prayer. Often she is portrayed with a mirror. A mirror does what? A mirror reflects back what is in front of it. When we contemplate Jesus in prayer, Jesus is mirrored back to us. We become more like Jesus when we pray in silence before God.

Cultivate a life of prayer by looking into the mirror, who is Christ. Become a mirror of Christ.
