Homily on Sunday, August 1st
This homily was given by Fr. Tom on the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time. “Give us some sign!” This is something the people in the first reading and the Gospel ask from God today. They want something to eat. Hopefully we do not hunger like those in Scripture (in the bodily sense). But, do you complain to God? Do you want God to something for you?
Jesus is telling us today that He nourishes us. He gives us the food that we need. The question is: what do you hunger for? Do you hunger for Jesus?
